The Course
Students will work in pairs and create a “product” and a “company” (eg “Glo Glo's” – Glow in the dark socks by “Holeyproof”). They will then create a marketing campaign for their product, using a range of software types and techniques. Students will work through the tasks at their own pace, and in whatever order they choose. This will give them power over their learning and will also create a more engaging learning environment. Assessment is based on the four stages of development (Investigation, Design, Production and Evaluation) for each of the chosen tasks as well as peer evaluation of the final marketing campaign.
Module Structure
At the end of each week on Business Boosters each group is expected to submit a tracking sheet with an up-to-date record of their progress on their chosen products. Each individual group member is also expected to send an email (from their student email address) to their teacher with comments on, for example, their group, their own progress, the tasks they are tackling, any difficulties they are having, or even Business Boosters itself.
