Billboard (10 marks)Please remember that you must have each phase of a product (Investigation, Design, Production) signed off by your regular teacher before you proceed to the next phase of that product. |
Outline |
| You are to produce an advertising billboard to promote your product to the general public. |
Investigation |
Take digital photos of three billboards that have caught your attention in the local area. Measure the length and height of each one to find the average relationship between length and height as this will indicate the dimensions you should use when designing your own. Record the information presented on each of your sample billboards and how they have tried to promote their product -- humour, informative, simple, bold. |
Design |
| Decide, as a group, what information you feel needs to be on your billboard and prepare, by hand, three different designs on paper. Choose which one you prefer to proceed with and write down WHY you chose this particular version. |
Production |
| Print your billboard design in colour to fit on one A4 sheet of paper but still retaining its appropriate dimensions. |
Evaluation |
Those group members not involved in the production of this billboard should write a report indicating
Remember that you need to be critical but also constructive. Try to be particular in your analysis. |
