Business Cards (10 marks)

Please remember that you must have each phase of a product (Investigation, Design, Production) signed off by your regular teacher before you proceed to the next phase of that product.

Outline

Your task is to create a business card for each member of your company.

Investigation

Collect at least 3 samples of actual business cards.

Download and complete the investigation proforma so that you can appreciate the information that people will expect/need to be available from the card.

Design

ON PAPER ...Prepare three different arrangements of designs and then choose one to proceed with and record WHY you chose this particular design over the others.
Decide on positions in the company for each of your group members and how these are going to be titled on your business cards.

 

Production
Prepare to print your business cards in colour on A4 card provided. All cards should be ready to print on one page. (The teachers will actually print these for you on the colour laser printer in the last week.) Cut to size.
 

Evaluation

Those group members not involved in the production of these business cards should write a report indicating

  • the good features of the cards
  • what could have been improved

Remember that you need to be critical but also constructive. Try to be particular in your analysis.
