Slide Presentation (20 marks)

Please remember that you must have each phase of a product (Investigation, Design, Production) signed off by your regular teacher before you proceed to the next phase of that product.

Outline
You are to create a slide presentation which is aimed at retailers to entice them to stock your product for sale.

Investigation

List the features that you, as a group, feel represent a good/effective presentation. At all times remember the audience for which you are designing. Try to list any negative features you remember from other presentations you may have seen. Do an internet search to see if you can find any recommendations for preparing a good presentation and record any URLs you find.

Design

Prepare a list of the information that you feel needs to be included in your presentation. You may do this in a word processor to make it easier to edit.
Decide on the order in which you will present this information and break it up into separate pages.
Consider how you will present each section of your presentation.

Production
The file for your presentation should be submitted via the intranet along with an electronic copy of the script outline indicating who will be speaking at each point in the presentation and their general topic.

Evaluation

Those group members not involved in the production of this powerpoint presentation should write a report indicating

  • - the good features of the presentation
  • - what could have been improved

Remember that you need to be critical but also constructive. Try to be particular in your analysis.
